The U.S. Geological Survey has published the results of a study regarding water quality in Arkansas near natural gas fracking sites. The USGS analyzed water samples from 127 wells near fracking sites and found no evidence of fracking pollution.
While anti-energy activists launch unfounded, irresponsible allegations that natural gas fracking pollutes water supplies, study after study shows no evidences of water pollution anywhere. Indeed, Obama administration EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson has testified under oath that EPA has never found any evidence of water pollution from hydraulic fracturing.
The USGS study is available here, and Environment & Climate News will soon be publishing a more lengthy article about the study.
